Let's Get Flurrious

Snowflakes are one of the most beautiful and fascinating things on the planet. I love them so much that my husband gave me a gorgeous snowflake pendant for Christmas. I have spent hours this winter trying to catch a glimpse of perfect little flakes stuck to my windshield and my jacket.

I just love this snowflake-inspired site. It was actually developed as a holiday card for an advertising agency (Digitas), but it's such a fun distraction, I'm glad it's living on through the winter! You can use different types of lines to develop a totally custom snowflake - even choosing how transparent (or "frozen") each line is. You can send your flake to a friend, too. The best part is that each snowflake forwarded to a friend generates a $1 donation to UNICEF.
